Ruthie V Shines in Fremont

If you peak in the front window of a new housing project for homeless adults in Fremont you’ll see Ruthie V’s latest creation splashed across the lobby wall.

Her 15-foot long mural in house paint and acrylic, an homage to the music and art-happy vibe of Fremont, depicts a band playing for locals at the Fremont Solstice Festival.

Ruthie hooked up with Patrick Place, the 71-unit unit building erected by Fremont’s Catholic Community Services, through a call for artists.

“I was pleased I could add the ‘magic’ that makes a space feel good to be in,” she said.  Patrick Place is at 4251 Aurora Avenue North.
