Artist Talks: Carolyn Gracz and Rachel Holloway
Saturday, March 11, 2017, 3:00 p.m.
Shift Gallery invites you to visit us between noon and 5:00 p.m. this Saturday, March 11th during the Tashiro Kaplan Building’s Open Studio event.
In Land Marks, Carolyn Gracz explores the crossings and markings of humans on the landscape. She expertly combines elements of monoprint, etching and collage, tiny in individual scale, yet full of detail and open to viewer interpretation.
In Glittering City, Rachel Holloway’s paintings are a reaction to the local building boom. Straddling between representation and abstraction, her facades mimic rapid growth with skillful interplay between color, shapes, pattern, movement and light.
We at Shift are privileged to be in a building bursting with creative energy. While you’re here, please be sure to visit our talented neighbors in the TK Building in Seattle’s Pioneer Square.
