Bounce celebrates the resilience and spirit of our artist members
November 16 – December 19
2020 has been a year of innovation and reinvention for Shift. We quickly realized the need to reshape our goals as virtual viewing became the only game in town. We upped our online presence, revamped our website and learned that video is the next best thing to being there. We recommitted to our location within the Tashiro Kaplan community and looked for every available opportunity to retain our presence in the art community. Individually our members had the flexibility and grace to change their exhibiting plans to allow for equitable gallery and online time. In the the midst of this turmoil we had a soul stirring recognition of our privilege and delved into ways of making the gallery more inclusive. As 2020 closes we look forward to the coming year. Our exhibiting schedule is set and we have optimistic hopes of establishing regular operating hours. We have an exciting new gallery window space and we are brainstorming ideas to replace first Thursdays with a crowd controlled second Saturday. Thanks to all our online followers, our fellow Tashiro Kaplan partners and the Pioneer Square community -see you in 2021!
