My April 2022 show celebrates the spirit of perseverance in the African American tradition; the determination of people who made a way from no-way despite the many hardships they encountered. They were pathfinders, with no road maps and few role models, yet possessed of incredible grit. Some made marks on history that we are just now learning. Others built communities—interior spaces—where they would have significant impact. Their stories reveal bravery, courage and wit. These men and women were indeed pioneers of the possible.
Gallery is open Fridays and Saturdays 11am – 4pm, face coverings encouraged (policy subject to change).
