Holly Hazelton | Familiar Devastation

January 5 —January 28, 2023

First Thursday Art Walk, January 5, 5-8pm
Artist talk with Matthew Harkleroad, Saturday, January 14, 2023, noon

“Familiar Devastation” investigates our daily experiences of  ecological grief. Big and small moments come to mind:  effects of catastrophic, sensationalized events caused by  climate change we see in the media, to the slow, almost  imperceptible transformation of plants and place over time  from human meddling. Dramatic versus gradual change, seen  versus overlooked effects in the present. These works of  familiar yet alarming moments from our everyday landscapes  call for your attention and understanding, for the lives we  affect beyond our human own.

Gallery is open Fridays and Saturdays 11am – 4pm, face coverings encouraged (policy subject to change).
