Susan Mask and Robin Arnitz | Family Reference

October 3 – November 2, 2024

Opening/First Thursday Art Walk: October 3, 5 – 8 pm
Artist Talk: Saturday, October 19, 12 – 1:30 pm with Susan Mask, Robin Arnitz and Amara Eke, hosted by Beverly Aarons of Artists Up Close

In “Family Reference,” Susan Mask and Robin Arnitz share their personal stories through expressive, figurative paintings and drawings. Whether it is a Zoom call or doing the family laundry, the artists aim to connect with the audience through vignettes of universal and interpersonal experiences.

Mask’s artistic focus aims to bring a sense of fluidity to canvas and highlight familial and community connections.

For Arnitz, the day-to-day engagement with family inspires her artistic work and helps define the parameters of life and community where she finds beauty and drudgery in domestic routines.
