Reception and Panel Discussion
July 19, 2025 at Shift Gallery at 5pm with the panel starting at 5:30
In conjunction with our member group show, Shift Gallery is bringing together artists, curators, and cultural workers from the Pacific Northwest to explore the vital role of collaboration and cooperation to sustain creative ecosystems. Through the lens of “Call & Response,” a practice rooted in dialogue and mutual exchange, panelists will discuss how cooperative practices and models shape their work, build resilient networks, and foster inclusive spaces for artistic expression. Together, they will reflect on models of shared leadership, resource-sharing, and cross-disciplinary engagement that strengthen community bonds and amplify underrepresented voices. Audiences will leave with insights into how artists and cultural workers can respond to one another and the world around them with intentionality, care, and collective action.
Panelists include:
Kendra Roberts, Blackfish Gallery
James Coley, City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture
Devon Chan Dunham, SlipStitch Studio
Stephanie Krimmel, Shift Gallery
