Amanda C. Sweet

Amanda C. Sweet draws inspiration from the estuarine currents and wrack zones of Puget Sound in her chance-based paintings and collaged works on paper. She uses acrylic spray paint and a collection of homemade stencils to explore transformative, mindful processes that embody the essence of the sea.

Sweet received a BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design in 2007 and an MFA in Painting + Drawing from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2015. She works as a professional studio artist and a graphic designer and project assistant at an environmental consulting firm in downtown Seattle.
