Artist Statement

Scott Coffey is a painter, graphic designer, and collage artist who joined Shift in 2021. His color-infused art explores queer issues, world mythologies, mental health, and the impact of a religious upbringing on someone who did not fit expectations. Passionate about educating and telling stories through art, Scott often incorporates writing into his work to help convey a deeper understanding of the concepts and research behind his art.
