Google’s satellite images inform my work, allowing me to capture pictures of natural and man-made forms around the globe. The possibilities are both exciting and endless–I can see people outside the Sydney Opera House, a village in Czechoslovakia, and the Singapore airport. Many mysterious forms are captured too. Whether recognizable or not, each view affords me a new way to abstractly interpret what I see. Working with rich colors and bold, fluid strokes, shapes and fields of color appear spontaneously. If you feel as though you are transported through color, line and the enthusiasm of my painterly monoprints, then I have succeeded.
