I draw on paper and in digital media. My pen and pencil drawings are about formalism and quiet abstraction expressed through careful structure and studied, often painstaking repetition and seriality.
Working with digital media, on the other hand, has allowed me to be spontaneous and to experiment with color and visual excitement.
Not that the two ways of working are incompatible, of course.
Images below are from Finger Painting, my show at Shift in January 2018. All images were created using the ArtStudio app on iOS and printed in editions of three on Hahnemuehle rag paper. Individual prints in each edition are priced at $220 and are numbered, titled, and signed. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in a purchase.
