I draw on paper and in digital media. My pen and pencil drawings are about formalism and quiet abstraction expressed through careful structure and studied, often painstaking repetition and seriality.
Working with digital media, on the other hand, has allowed me to be spontaneous and to experiment with color and visual excitement.
Not that the two ways of working are incompatible, of course.
I am showing recent digital drawings in Finger Painting at Shift until the end of January, 2018. Selected images below. All images were created using the ArtStudio app on iOS and printed in editions of three on Hahnemuehle rag paper. Individual prints in each edition are priced at $220 and are numbered, titled, and signed. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
