ARTIST STATEMENT

Lynda Harwood-Swenson is an artist whose work focuses on the connections between social relationships and the surrounding environment, and how those concepts interact with each other in our social and emotional landscape. Her current work includes reflections on climate change, feminism and the accumulation of time and memory.

Her work has been included in numerous shows nationally and internationally. She is a 2018 Vermont Studio Fellow awarded by the Clowes Foundation, and a 2016 recipient of the Artist Trust GAP Grant. Her work is included in the City of Seattle Public Utilities Collection. Originally from Buffalo, NY she graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in English Literature and Studio Art.
