My studio practice centers on repetition and systematic rules that evolve with each series. I make each photograph deliberately, working methodically within the constraints I’ve established. For Collectio*, I’m exploring how these same images can be reorganized within a series to create different compositions—examining how changes in arrangement alter our reading of form and the camera’s mechanical record of time.
The grid remains my primary structure, applied both strictly and intuitively, serving as the visual grammar for each piece. In some works, I’m thinking about scientific collections—specimens arranged in trays—dissecting images into components that can be studied and compared. Across the pieces in Collectio*, viewers may discover narratives emerging from the parts, or find stories unfolding through the interplay of shapes and color.
