Larry Calkins & Becky Street | back40 prints

September 5 – 28, 2024

Opening/First Thursday Art Walk: September 5, 5 – 8 pm
Artist Talk: Saturday, September 14, 1:30 pm

Becky Street has honed her sense of color, pattern and composition over a 40-year career in Interior Design. In 2015 she began applying these design elements to printmaking. Her work has been exhibited at Shift Gallery in Seattle and Museo in Langley, WA.

Larry’s animal cut-outs are inspired by his own menagerie that he knows and loves. The shapes are simple, yet he captures the personalities and quirks of each animal. Becky adds color, pattern and repetition to create to create a narrative for each piece.

Together, Larry and Becky have produced a collection of monoprints and drypoints from charming and often humorous shapes that make up the back40 print collection.
