In Habits, John refers to the form created by of the repetitive line in the works. Exploring how changes in environmental color alters the representation and the interpretation of each line’s form in the mechanical view of the camera. He transforms and ultimately accentuates the constructed form’s habit through a multitude of presented images within the works. Unique presentation of archival pigment prints on paper and reactive dye prints on silk are highlighted.
