Inspired by the dark winter months here in the Northwest, I have been working on a body of work that illuminate a space. I feel the most creative when it starts to rain in October here in the western Washington. Since many people desire the sunshine, I wanted provide a visual escape with my illuminated artworks. This exhibition is a reminder that the spring is right around the corner, and we are able to generate our own inner glow while we wait. February in Seattle always gives a glimmer of spring with a little longer day light hours and small flower buds growing on the grey branches. I am excited to show that the art can provide hopefulness even if our environment says otherwise. Please enjoy.
